You look like an idiot.
Educate yourself.
Tattoos, piercings, body modification that goes against what is ‘ethical’ in our society is not a trend, nor is it a fad.
The only thing we truly possess in this world is our physical body..and humans have realized this since we have been conscious. So naturally, humans have molded this casing in multiple ways, in every society, in any way possible..and with great meaning.
This is our deepest connection to our ancestors from whom we stem.
This is NOT some immature act that people with low IQ scores do out of hate or ignorance.

Won’t post anything I write..
now it wants to.
I posted a ‘devil’s advocate’ talk about how people are freaking out about the baby who is obviously in the western world getting their ear pierced with a gun.
I don’t agree with piercing guns either, but the age thing..come on….I never see anyone bitching about a non-westerner who is using a stick to pierce their baby’s ears, or a sharp rock to carve out shapes in a baby’s face. Why is this?
Do you feel that we can’t put meaning to modifications just because they didn’t originate in our society? What is it?
OMG, really…
Stop making Tumblrs that talk shit about other people modifying their body because it isn’t the ‘right’ way….I mean, I bet you wouldn’t reblog a picture of some ‘tribal’ person and say that their method is wrong or they have blowouts or they shouldn’t tattoo their face because whatever stupid reason you give.
If the person isn’t getting MRSA or some kind of disease and THEY are happy with THEIR tattoo/piercing/whatever..then I don’t see the problem. Even if 90% of people would think the tattoo/etc. is ugly, if they love it- let them!
Especially if you have NO BACKGROUND INFORMATION on the photo..then shut the fuck up. Just because a straw/cigarette/dildo is going through someone’s septum, doesn’t mean they have been wearing it all day..
How about we build ourselves up, instead of pulling people down to our level. Live and let live. Love and be loved. STFU and GTFO.

If you are familiar with Anatometal, it is likely that you are interested in some form of body modification: whether it be everyday piercings like the navel and ears, or more extreme mods like branding and scarification. Have you ever stopped to wonder how these art forms were

It’s skin… and uh, it’s pretty blank and I think, ya know, I got one shot at this… this canvas. Life’s pretty short; I should decorate it while I got it.
